Im starting Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Huperzine A in the hope that some of my dementia will be helped, Both can be up to 4 per day so slowly starting them one at a time will take a long time
When starting slowly any hints on how many day before you up to one more pill so that you can be taking full dosage of one before starting another herb?
I want to do it right but my inactive brain is screaming for all 8 pills right away. I'm biting my tongue to keep myself from indulging that demand.

What do the experts say? If you have a LL ND (naturopathic doctor) that would be great, of course.
In the meantime, in the articles from your research, see what dosage the authors recommend.
You might do a search here:

I suggest starting with just one, not both. Taking one a day for a week. Then, two a day for week.
Then, maybe adding the second supplement, one a day for a week, then two a day for a week . . . 3 a day for week and on week four, you'll be up to four a day (the recommended dose?).
I think these two should go okay together but you should never begin two new things at the same time. And, while it may be fine to take full dose right way for both, but startling slowly, you can best determine how you do with these.
Caffeine use, though, will interfere with your ability to determine how well these will work for you.
You mentioned needing energy. Are you taking some adrenal support? Cordyceps would be my recommendation. Burrascano and Singleton write about that as being helpful for lyme patients. I've used it and do very well. It is not a speedy one.

Im not seeing any doc now. It was the vaccine that did me under & after 4 years on antibiotic and 2 lyme docs and no help I decided to stop and the same with the 1/2 dozen ND's that I saw so now I bought Healing Lyme but the lyme herbs almost killed me so Im just going to try his suggestion on brain supplements but he does not say how long to wait before upping the doses and adding another herb.
The first lyme doc I saw told me there was nothing he could do for me after a year of treatment and I tried another doc for 3 years but nothing did help so now I just accept my life and try to make the most I can out of what I have.
Im still able to live alone and get to the grocery store and there are lots of sick people who cant do that or even see or walk so I have to concentrate on what advantages I do have and not what I dont have.

I took my suggestions for increasing one capsule each week from Buhner's method with andrographis. Andrographis can be very strong. Don't give up, though, there are other ways. Always.
I've been told many times there in nothing more I can do. No, the lazy doctors who said that only think so. You can be thankful for your blessings and glad it's not worse but I think you can still see improvement. It just may take a different avenue to get there.
In addition to the Buhner book which you already have:

Did your previous doctors (who all gave up) also assess you for coinfections?
===========
In addition to the usual coinfections from ticks (such as babesia, bartonella, ehrlichia, RMSF, etc.), there are some other chronic stealth infections that an excellent LLMD should know about:
