I don't want to jinx myself but did want to post something that will hopefully give those out there struggling some optimism.
I am about 75% better. I was very ill, had Lyme likely since teenage years, rebitten in 1996. Sick since 2005, pregnancy made it all come out. Heavily neuro.
I attribute this to: 1) three different LLMDs and knowing when to switch 2) Doing IV. 3) myself/following my instinct 4) really, really good probiotics (medical grade) from the beginning - something I learned here on Lymenet! 5) A mood stabilizer/anti-seizure med 6) Friends I've made here and on other boards, and all the ideas we've collectively come up with as regards treatment.
I'm not out of the woods by any means, I still have to work on the illness and do clean-up with perhaps mold and metals. But I am enjoying life again and Lyme is not always the first thing I think about every morning anymore.

I think these can be ordered online or some drugstores carry them. More like a Whole Foods type store.

That's wonderful!! I am curious how long you did IV antibiotics. Did you do any besides Rocephin/Ceftriaxone and what were the amounts for each?

I am not done with IV, still doing it and will for another 4 months or so per new LLMD. Did 9-10 weeks Rocephin before switching LLMDs and starting his protocol, which does not include Rocephin. So definitely still treating!
To Life, I am treating for all co's even though I have negative co-infections tests.

CD57, great news that you are starting to feel better. I don't think you have to worry about jinxing yourself. I like to think that by saying I feel better is a positive affirmation!

Great news!
I am with you. Slightly over 2.5 years of treatment,
But much, much better than I was.
Still have issues, but am functional and able to work full time now.
I attribute my recovery to many, many things.
I would have never gotten here without my friends from Lymenet.
Lymetoo saved my life.
My Mom became supportive after my diagnosis.
My husband worked full time (sick also) when I couldn't.
Didn't get much rest, but didn't have to worry about money/work.
Prayer is a major part of my wellness.
So is finding something every day to be grateful for with this disease.
Even if it just that it allowed me to recognize the symptoms
In both of my children. That is a biggie!
A LLMD who won't give up on me and allows me to be a
Major part of my treatment plan, both trials and tribulations.
I never did IV's. Only orals.

Thank you CD57 for sharing your story! I am so glad to hear you are improving. I understand your reluctance to speak in absolutes, since Lyme is a daily journey, and I am waiting to have major improvement like yours before I make my own post. But it is incredibly heartening to hear that you are *getting better*.
