I have been on mino and azith and recently started a treatment of flagyl to bust cysts. I am having a big herx.

My question: is it better to let my immune system go to work with the fatigue, chills, fever, achiness or is it ok to treat the symptoms. I do get relief with ibuprophen.

If you get relief, go for it.

Epsom salt baths are a huge help, too.

Thanks. I do like those hot baths and I have some epsom salts.

I just wasn't sure if it was more effective to let the body fight.

I will take the Ibuprophen too.

Have you herxed more on Flagyl than the others? Dr wants to put me on flagyl soon, too, to get the cysts.

use ibuprofen with caution. is hard on the liver and does interact with some abt (the floruquins for sure, and blood thinners)

epsoms salts, heating pads, and the lemon water. lemon water helps iwth PH issues.

i also was given supplement zyflamend to take and that makes HUGE differece. is pricey but one of my must haves. same with mag. ox. my family dr also recommended a product she carries (has attached compound pharmacy) that alter Ph to make body less receptive to yeast growth.

but, i fully recommend the zyflamend. anytime i run out or forget for day/two i know it !! good b-12 helps too

the lemon or lime water is what LLMD has on print out for herx issues.

Thankx everybody. My LLMD also recommended zyflamend. I think I still have some. It didn't work as well as the ibuprophen for me, but is a natural anti-inflammatory I think. Will try it again.

I have not had a herx like this since my first treatment at the beginning 8 months ago. Once again, cemented in the bed and feel like I'm 100 years old. BUT it is much shorter in duration. Feel really OK this morning! [Smile]

Everybody is different, though, I have learned from this network!
