Hey there! A question for anybody to answer. My Lyme Doctor said I had to change my Ph so I dank water with a table spoon of baking soda. And I started feeling really bad about 30 minutes later. I felt weak, naseous, and the symptoms of my eyes flared up; ie. flashing points, flashing lights, lightning disturbances and sperm like lights (with out the head) that move around my visual field. Is that Herxing? And if it is can Baking soda cause it??? Thank u!!!

Baking soda is alkalizing. A lot of bacteria can't survive in an alkaline environment which could cause a herx.

Baking Soda raises PH, it also used by some as an alternative gout treatment since more alkaline blood melts uric acid crystals but is not without is caveats:

It MUST ONLY BE TRIED with your doctor's approval since this could have many side effects including high blood pressure, headaches, appetite loss, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains and others. Baking soda is high in sodium, so cut out salt if taking it. Gout attacks raise blood pressure. Moreover people with heart, kidney, and liver disease, and appendicitis should not try it. Baking soda is contraindicated with some prescription medicines. Take too much for too long and you could get alkalosis. So speak to your doctor first. It should not be taken when the stomach is too full. An empty stomach is better.
