thanks to this website i might be starting to piece some things together. I took suprax in liquid last year for what the doctor's thought was another infection. i felt great! Of course, the dose was only two weeks and i fell backward. has anyone taken this? i believe it is in the cipro family (2nd generation, or something)

I have never heard of it, but I love it when I have one of those "Ah Ha!" moments too!

Suprax is a 3rd generation Cephalosporin, same class as Omnicef and Rocephin. It is not a Quinolone like Cipro.

Are you already on an antibiotic for Lyme? Talk with your doctor, they might be willing to switch you to Suprax since it worked so well in the past.

I started it recently but I am not up to full dose yet.

I am on it for lyme as far as I know but perhaps he put me on it for bart too since I've been in treatment for bart.

I found a brief mention of it here.
