I'm going on three years of this crap. All along I have run low grade fevers, severe chronic pain, and have run some high white blood cell counts off and on.
My llmd is treating me with cefurox right now, and I have been on some kind of antibiotic since Oct. 2008.
I have been getting more and more tired and have had an increase in pain since around January. The fatigue now has gotten unbearable, I can hardly function at times. And I REALLY don't feel good at all.
I went to see my pcp and she did some labs. My white count is at 12.8, even on antibiotics. My ana is a little elevated. My b12 is low, although I have been on a b-complex for 9 months, and my potassium is low also.
My pcp didn't seem too concerned, thinks it might be just an inflammatory process. Also, my sugar was high (need to go in to have a fasting blood sugar done). She ordered b12 shots 1x/mo for 6mo.
I have left 2 messages for my llmd to call, and I don't think he is in on Fridays, so I might not hear from him til Monday.
Just wondering, anybody care to take a stab at this? Why is my body depeating these minerals now? Don't white counts go down on antibiotics?
Any input is appreciated. July

If your sugar was high on a Lyme diet and never before it may be pancreatitus. Very serious.
During acute attacks, high levels of amylase (a digestive enzyme formed in the pancreas) are
found in the blood. Changes may also occur in blood levels of calcium, magnesium, sodium,
potassium, and bicarbonate. Patients may have high amounts of sugar and lipids (fats) in their
blood too. These changes help the doctor diagnose pancreatitis. After the pancreas recovers, blood
levels of these substances usually return to normal. The world leading authority on Pancreas
