Rule out H Pylori too Posted by sco24 (Member # 21257) on :
already did the H pylori thing and came back negative.
the only thing that showed up on a stool test was a unknown protazoan... but it could not be identified.
I wonder if LD could show up on a stool test?
Is there any medical LD info on leaky gut and LD being the cause?
thanks scott

Leaky gut is usually caused by our poor eating habits, injected chemicals, and magnified by medications, where the gut flora is killed and candida then developes.
PLaque builds up, the connections along the intestinal wall open, and Bacteria, viruses, parasites can invade our body throught the gut!
LD doesn't cause it...most of the time it is a pre-existing condition before lyme, which causes the immune system to not functin correctly, as the immune system is in the gut.
Add lyme to the mix and that's our tipping point. Our immune system is already over burdened with the leaky gut symptoms. (fibromyalgia and other symptoms) Our immune system cannot do it all until we bring the burden down.
Work on your leaky gut with your lyme protocol! The goal is to get your immune system to "kick in", on its own. Usually, if you have addressed most things and still have leaky gut, something is still not in balance. Its a sign to keep seeking what needs to be addressed.
Many LLMD's do not address this. Mine does and that is how I was able to work toward remission. Find a ND who can help you detox and get back to intestinal health along with your LLMD if the LLMD does not understand the connection with leaky gut.

Saw llmd yesterday and they said lyme can cause leaky gut indirectly
By depleting or destroying good bacteria in the gut..
Meaning Lyme puts such a stress on the body when it tries to fight off the infection
That leaky gut develops...
Not sure if that's my case but that's what they said...
