Along with his very recent diagnosis of Lyme Disease, my husband was today diagnosed with Vitiligo.
We had noticed a small patch, perhaps 2 x 2 inches, of skin on the underside of his chin which has lost pigmentation.
Actually, he first noticed the area about 2-3 months ago.
But he got the rash (along with other symptoms) 3 weeks ago.
I have read that Vitiligo is thought to possibly be an autoimmune process. So, now I'm wondering about a possible association with Lyme Disease....
Are any of you aware of any information on this?

I've heard that vitiligo is connected to celiac disease, or food allergies in general.
You should search for vitiligo+gluten or vitiligo+celiac.
Perhaps avoiding gluten and dairy for a bit may not be a bad idea.
Here's someone who was able to reverse vitiligo in a child by going gluten-free.

my brother went for to a dermatologist for his pigment loss issues... and he was told it could be a thyroid problem. He has to go have bloodwork done.
Our family has a history of autoimmune trouble, and thyroid problems.... and then again my brother is an avid fisherman in an endemic lyme area
