I am currently starting some new herbal remedies.

This question came to my mind, since I am on prescribed medicine.

I don't want to mix too much with what I am currently taking. Also, after taking Zyflammend, my head feels a little wierd.

Only took my first pill today. Also, I feel sleepy now.

From what I do know some anti-depressants do not mix well with some of the herbs, and I don't want to cause myself harm. I am on an SSRI.

I do have a little bit of a pill phobia, when starting on new things, and I want to stay safe.

Thanks for replies.

My LLMD had me on a lot of herbs with the scripts. You can ask at the pharmacy or look online to see if there are any interactions.

Or, you can mention what you are taking here so we can share our experiences.

The above advice is good advice. Usually it is St. John Wart that interferes with MAIO's and it

usually will say it on the literature you get from the pharmacy. In most cases there is not any contraindication.

Can't see why Zyflammend would be a problem. Many of use similar supplements. It might actually be

working on bringing down inflammation, perhaps the reason your head felt a little weird. If so, that's a good thing.

Can't say for sure but the candex is killing of yeast. That could be making you feel strange, but unfortunately it's all part of the process.

You didn't mention how long you have been on ABX but if it's around the 4 - 6 week mark you could be herxing and the ABX could be affecting you.

I really don't think it's the zyflammend but cannot say for sure. It doesn't seem like you are taking anything that is contraindicated.

I would try to just go to sleep and hope you feel better in the morning.

Did you eat a lot of carbs today? If so, that could be affecting you too since you are on abx and are trying to control the yeast with candex.

Overgrowth of yeast can be just as difficult to manage, in some ways, as Lyme and combined together makes it harder.

I hope someone else comes along and adds their two cents.

Hang in there and get some rest and hopefully it will pass.

Can't say for sure either.

Thanks for your kind words.

I have been on abx since beginning of July.

I honestly felt bad after the zyflammend. almost felt like I was high as a kite, then felt my head spinning, and then I laid down.

then after all this feel depressed.

don't know, but I don't like this ride. get me off.

Hope you are feeling better today? Unfortunately the treatment of Lyme brings on all kinds of strange sensations.

You are just about at the four week mark. Could be a herx starting. Hope you are doing better today.

I will post this again.

If you take supplements along with ABX you should thoroughly research whether their is any known interaction. Some supplements augment the effectiveness of some ABX.

I always go to www.naturaldatabaseconsumer.com BEFORE addind anything to a regimen. It's a subscription service, but cheap...like $10/mo. or $50/yr. I found it well worth the money. FWIW, I have no financial interest in the site.

Be very careful asking for suggestions regarding drug/herb/supplement interactions from us here on the forum. Although well-intentioned, not all who respond have enough clinical knowledge to trust.

Just sayin'

I Googled Xyflamend. It has oregano in it, which is antibiotic/anti-parisitical. Perhaps you are having a slight herx reaction to the Xyflammend. I felt HORRIBLE during parasite cleanses (but they have to be done).

It looks like a REALLY good product! I've never heard of it before.

When I started taking Zyflamend I was told to start off with only one per day then increase to the 2 per day after about a week or two.

And be sure to take it with plenty of food and a full glass of water.

Try to give it a few more days to get used to it. It may just be a little strong for you right now. I remember the package insert warns of a warming effect, I can't think of how they phrased it but that also may be part of what you are experiencing.

Take care.

Perhaps it's a side effect? I always research all meds and their side effects before taking them. I am sensitive to meds so I have to. Hope you feel better!!
