My LLMD gave me a prescription for diflucan just in case I need it. He said to stop ABX and take diflucan 200mg for 3 days in a row.
I saw my gyno today. I did not know I had a vaginal yeast infection, but he thought I did. Test was positive. He called in a prescription for diflucan 150mg and said take it for 1 day and if not better in a couple of days, take another dose.
Which dosage of diflucan do I take....per LLMD or gyno...150 mg versus 200mg for how many days? What has worked for you?
Thanks, Jen

Go with what the LLMD says.
Mainstream doctors don't believe in systematic yeast infections. I am systomatic, if you are taking antiboitics, you will have a very hard time with yeast.
I have to take diflucan all the time. Along with a proboitic. I am trying to work on my diet, but it is difficult.
Thanks, Shalome

I have been taking 200mg of Diflucan for 7 months. The first 6 months - I took it every day. Now I am on 3/4 days, off 3 days. I have yet to get a yeast infecction.

Go with the LLMD's script. Even 3 days isn't much when you're on abx 24/7.
