I have headaches/head pressure and an overall body malaise most of the time. Treating for Lyme, Bart and Babs. When I have a few beers

my symptoms are relieved dramatically. Not just while I am drinking but for the next day or two so it doesnt seem to be psychological.

The only explanation I can come up with is maybe it is dilating capillaries and improving blood flow. Anyone else have this experience or a possible explanation?

I don't drink at all anymore, but I used to.

When I did, my symptoms were not as bad as they are now.

I never realized that until I read your post.

Interesting.

Google hops...it is related to the hemp and cannabis family. Also alcohol had antibacterial properties.

It has also been shown that the THC in marijuana is antibacterial, There was another post about this a while back (beer) but it has been deleted from the archives,

I have experienced the same thing in the past, except if I do have a drink, I feel much worse later that day and the next.

I have actually had a glass of wine to get rid of a migraine, so it may have something to do with dilating the blood vessels.

I read somewhere that one drink enhances the immune system, but any more depresses immune function. I don't know if that holds for a person who is already fighting a chronic illness.

Be careful if you are on meds. It is hard on the liver, especially in combination.
