I have just recently noticed that when I lay on my left side, that my heart issues start up i/e heart thumps, heart skips followed by heavy heart thumps.
Last year when my heart issues started, they seemed to happen regardless of position, now I am noticing them starting mainly when on my left side.
Had anyone else noticed this or noticed their heart issues being positional?

Yes!!! I thought I was crazy when I began feeling it a few years ago. Laying on my left side gives me tachycardia and it really surprised my cardiologist when he saw it on my 21 day monitor.
LLMD says many Lyme patients say the same. I've tried a low dose beta blocker, but it doesn't seem to help this.

yep same here. it's vagus nerve infected, it has to be. not fun when you dont know what the hell it is, much more manageable now.

At times I get PVC's while laying on my left side.
This has greatly diminished as I am off all antibiotics
With the exception of diflucan right now.
Biaxin is known to contribute.....as well as diflucan.
I guess I know now which med causes my issues.
Adding extra magnesium in has helped too.
Hugs,
Geneal

Yes. I had this a lot. I would get up and eat a pinch of salt and it would stop it.

Yes. I can have palps in any position, but they are more noticable when laying on my left side.

Yes, I have palpitations bad!
Co-q 10 helps alot

I was told years ago that lying on your left puts more pressure on your heart, but I don't know exactly how...

Yes I get this too. Have gotten several explanations from different Drs and nurses, but all not even worth mentioning. My ultrasound showed thickening mitral valve, otherwise it was mostly normal.

Laying on the left side supposedly has easier access to the vagus nerve. I get heart skips in any position, but I am prone to getting them by laying on my left side.
Something else to consider is the heart is made up of a lot of nerves. The vagus nerve is the most likely culprit, but Lyme could mess with other nerves of the heart.
As for Co-Q10, get the coqui"nol" kind instead of the coqui"non" kind. The "nol" is supposed to absorb better. Unfortunately, I purchased three bottles of the "non" kind before I found out.

Yes, left side heart flutters also.
Definitely a vagus nerve problem for me. Hoping it will eventually resolve with treatment.

We're all going to have it worse on our left side... our heart is on the left center of our chest therefore when we lay on our left side everything to the right of the heart (which is more than what's to the left of the heart) applies pressure on the hearts space and we feel palpitations more.
