Hi all,
I debated on whether or not to drive an hour to Boston last night to hand out the brochures that UOS gave me to people after the screening.

I decided to jump in the car and got there just in time to greet people as they were coming out of the theater. I thanked them for coming out and gave them the brochures. All 15 of them?! In itty bitty ole Portsmouth, NH there were over 500 people!

I know Boston can do better than this! Can we get an email going or something to help spread the word? I realize it plays for a week there and am hoping other nights do better but that was a sad turn out for opening night.

The people I did talk to were eager for information..many were crying. I did leave tons of UOS brochures by the sign for the movie and plan to maybe go down again on Sunday. Come on Boston lets go!

Thanks,
Ann

Well, in Boston it is showing Thursday through Sunday (spread out) while in Portsmouth it was just one day, wasn't it? I'm not sure, please correct me if I'm wrong.

And the Portsmouth viewing had the *huge* draw of a doctor who was in the film speaking at the lecture afterwards.

That could account for the number of people showing up, don't you think? I myself, was planning on driving up to hear him speak but was just not feeling up to the drive that day.

I am hoping that in Boston, since people have the choice of seeing the film on a weekday after work, or waiting until the weekend, that they're planning to see it over the weekend sometime.

BTW: That was great that you could hop in the car like that and drive there!

Many of us are not well enough to do that, even though we wish we could, so thanks!

Newburyport, MA is having an UOS screening on these same dates, too: starting today and running through August 13th.

So people in eastern MA have the choice of going into the city to view it or up to the town of Newburyport.

It would be great if we could have huge crowds at the MFA but with the other showing on the same days it may spread audiences thin.

Hi,
Yes, I am going to the Newburyport one tonight and tommorrow night and handing out the brochures that UOS sent me. Then back to Boston Sunday. I'm sure Sunday in Boston will draw a big crowd with the reception after.
