What's the protocol for a new bullseye rash? DH 'finished' his treatment maybe 2 years ago. Since then, he has continued on a more natural regimine.
Last Friday he took the day off to do some major yard work. He was in the sun all day long and it was almost 100 degrees. He was smart about it and didn't over do it. But he's not usually in the sun that much.
Saturday morning he woke up with a large bullseye rash on the back of his leg. WWYD?
We tried to get ahold of our llmd, but he's on vacation.

I would call the emergency LLMD number and get on some Doxy ASAP.

His nurse is supposed to call us back. I'll ask about the doxy. I have at least 8 days worth on hand right now.

Sounds like he got bit again. And why not? Deer tick nymphs are the size of a poppy seed.
I don't believe rashes come back after 2 years. This sounds like a brand new one.
Take pics of the rash daily to have a record to show the MD when he gets ahold of him.
At least he found it early and actually had a rash.
I found the tick biting on me , sent it in, it had lyme, but I never got a rash.

I got bull's eye rashes on me with treatment. The weird thing was, they were underneath my arms. I never saw a rash in the first place. Who knows? There's no way I got bit again underneath my arms. I'm in FL. and I'm not saying there's not ticks here because obviously there are, I'm sicker than hell...but the chances of me getting bit AGAIN, underneath my arms when I never went outside is zero.
I hate this disease, it's so confusing. You never know what to do.
Edited to say: Lyme brain! I see it was 2 years AFTER treatment. I thought he was still in treatment. That's weird, I would treat it immediately.
BTW: You said your hubby had Lyme and was in treatment....is he better now?

DH never had any overt symptoms. He is probably more fatigued than most guys his age and he occassionally has some knee pain. But in general he has always appeared to be in excellent health.
This is his 3rd bullseye, maybe 4th? I know he had one about 6 months before we even knew what lyme was. Then he had another one that popped up during his treatment. And now this one. It seems like he may have had one before that, but I could be mis-remembering.

ETA - not that he doesn't have lyme. I don't mean to put down any of his pain/discomforts. We are very thankful that all of us have only minor symptoms of lyme, although those are certainly bad enough.
