Hi all,

So I've been treating Babesia for about 2 1/2 months with the Mepron/Zith combo. I've done a couple of Artemisinin pulses but it's really hard on my stomach so am looking into other things.

Anyway, over the last couple weeks my Lyme symptoms have been making a comeback--hand twitches, arthritis, stiff neck/headaches, brain fog, and that special fatigue that only seems to come from Lyme. This is separate from my Babesia herxes, as far as I can tell.

I'm supposed to tx Babesia til Dec. and then do either Bart tx or a lovely Flagyl-based Lyme protocol. I really want to complete the 6 months of Babesia treatment and am wondering if there's anything I can take (pref. not more antibiotics) to keep the Lyme at bay until I can target it directly...Garlic? Herbs? Rife?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks, guys [Smile]

Would your doctor consider having you take amoxy or ceftin, or one of the lyme-hitting antibiotics, while treating babesia? That would do it.

I agree with Vermont. I've been reading that some LLMD's treat babesia and lyme at the same time for good results. Dr. H of Ca. said that babesia and lyme could be treated together.

When I tried a solo Flagyl regimen, twice I relapsed with lyme symptoms after 6-8 weeks. Drs. KS and above Dr. H say that Flagyl should always be couple with a cell wall drug (ceftin, amoxicillin, etc.) When the Flagyl makes the cysts break open, the ceftin will kill the blebs.

Again, this is what I read. I have no personal victory with this regimen yet.
