My 14 year old niece had a bone marrow transplant almost 2 years ago. She is on more antibiotics than I am for my Lyme Disease. Why is it okay for her to have long term antibiotics but not for Lyme Patients?

They will also happily prescribe antibiotics for years for things as small as acne.

I think the antibiotic issue is just an excuse they like to use to deny treatment. Sure, it's not something you'd give to a healthy person, but if they prescribe it for acne, then the risk obviously isn't very high.

Yes; I was amazed at what I saw! But it's actually not surprising once you consider the "i-word"-- its all about the "bottom line"... I thought there might be some hope with this new government, but it looks kind of bleak-not an easy "illness" to try to fix, this "insuranoma".
