Anyone here convert to positive western blot CDC test after treatment with antibiotics?
If so, how long did it take?

all we get is NO EVIDENCE. Why the heck not! I Want to Know too.

I did read in Dr. B's guidelines something like 30% or more convert to positive after treatment?

This DID happen to me in my early days of treatment. Although I had a steadily rising lyme titer, mainstream doctors would not diagnose lyme disease, and I had bylateral bells palsy.
I finally was so sure I had lyme, I took out a loan from my parents and had the doctor do a "trial" I.V. rocephin to see if I "herxed" or got better......whatever....thinking stupidly at the time that the herx would convince him.
AFter 3 weeks with I.V. rocephin, I finally tested positive through Danbury Hospital for lyme and babesia, and positive for both through Igenex, equivocal for Bartonella.
The kill off causes more genetic material from the borreliosis to be broken up and circulate through the blood stream.

Purplemom I got a Igenex positive after 3 months of
home made antibiotics but if my IND had been
positive It would have been CDC pos. also. So for
what its worth I do think it is worth it to do the antibiotics first.

I was positive by IGenex standards before starting antibiotics.
6 Months later i retested and was positive by CDC.

Im hoping this is the case, the last test I had (my 3rd) had a rising lyme titre but was still classed as negative. (9 months now after bite & EM)
My doctor stopped my doxy after 7 weeks due to negative tests.
I've been advised to wait 2 weeks before I get another test.
I will watch this thread with interest, The immunologist (who was supposed to be lyme literate but clearly wasn't), said that after 3 negative tests I have to accept that I don't have lyme.

My first WB was negative with no bands. My second, 2 months after treatment, band 41 positive. Now after 15 months of treatment we are doing another WB, plus the urine test, can't remember what it is called. You collect urine for 3 days. The WB's are through labcorp and the urine through Igenex.
My doc did not take me off antibiotics to do the WB, and he doesn't care what the results are as far as my treatment goes. He treats based on clinical diagnosis. But we are curious to see what if anything shows up.
That is wrong that 3 negative test means no lyme!

My daughter was IGeneX positive before abx. After about 8 months of abx, she was CDC positive by Clongen lab. Since then, she is negative by Clongen and IGeneX, but still just as sick.
