You probably have elevated prolactin levels. Prolactin is produced in the pituitary gland and that gland is very commonly affected by Lyme disease.

I have this also.

Lyme effects the pituitary axis.

I have not tested positive for Lyme. My test was

sent to I genix

I went to the doc for numbess and tingling. I

never imagined that all of these seperate

smyptoms could have a common cause.

Thank you for your response!

Please get your Prolactin levels checked. Prolactin can also be elevated with Pituitary gland tumors.
Not trying to scare you- but just wanted to make sure you were aware of the possibility and have it checked out.
I know this, because along with Lyme disease I also have a pituitary tumor (recently found)

One of my medical mysteries was high prolactin. They thought I had a pituitary tumor.

I had pit exploratory surgery, and no tumor was found - just hyperplasia. The doc, a top brain surgeon, told us he didn't understand.

I did email him when I was found to have Lyme 20 years later - he said they never knew about Lyme.

I couldn't handle the bromocriptine drug people take to reduce high prolactin, so the level just stayed high.

But now the story has gotten more interesting...

Within the past year, my high prolactin level has dropped by half, which is the first time ever for a count drop - from 220 to 100. Prolactin level is supposed to be at 20.

My new PCP announced to me the first time it dropped, with a statement that my prolactin was "very high". I asked how high. 150, she said. She didn't understand why I was so happy about that number until I explained my history.

I have been taking clindamycin abx for three years, drinking mangosteen juice for three years, drinking noni juice and taking grape seed extract capsules for a year.

The last three remedies are antioxidant/anti-inflammatories.

Whatever I've been doing has been affecting the pituitary.

An endocrinologist I know is interested in writing up my case for medical journals if the prolactin count continues to drop.

The high prolactin is a symptomless anomaly for me, thank goodness...

Low Thyroid will elevate TSH which will stimulate prolactin levels. Need Thyroid. This even happens in men and usually Hasimotos disease.
