Hi, I was wonder if some of you had twitching that got worse when you went on an antibiotic. I'm on day 5 of amox and it seems like my twitching is getting worse.
Could this be herxing? I'm not sick to my stomach or no headaches, it just mainly seems to be the twitching.
Any Info., greatly appreciated?

YES! That was always one of my first herx symptoms and a good indicator that the abx were working. Enjoy the twitching while you can - it's usually followed by the more classic herx symptoms like aches, chills and just feeling plain sick - but at least you know it's working!

Thanks for the information Lauren. I was thinking are my symptoms getting worse. Do you still have the twitching? The twitching and jerking seem to be the most difficult for me. How long does the twitching continue while you are on the antibiotic?

I've been getting bouts of twitching for a couple weeks, but mine started before I started Amoxyl.
I'm twitching more since being on it, though.
I've also had the headaches and now have general muscle aches to the extent that it even hurts where my shirt and pants touch my skin, as well as some nausea and fatigue.
I'm so ready for this to stop; the little twitches I can handle, but the rest can just get lost!

I mentioned this to my doctor yesterday and he said it is very common to get twitching while on protocol.
Mine is mainly in the inside of my right knee and my right cheek and jaw area. Drives me crazy.

For me the twitching would come in cycles - it would get worse when starting a new antibiotic and then it would settle down after a couple of weeks only to start up again. I've been in treatment for 3 years now and I rarely have that symptom anymore.
