Is diet in "advanced topics in lyme diease"

specific for antibiotic therapy or way of life

for people with lyme disease?

Is this how we eat with the disease or when just

undergoing antibiotic treatment?

Thanks!

Hi...When on abx, staying away from all the unforbiddens are a must. If one is lucky enough to be off all abx, I think healthy eating still has to be a lifelong forever.

Unfortunately it really sucks, haven't gotten there yet myself.

basically it is for also avoiding yeast and candida complications while taking high loads of antibiotics. it comes with the lyme territory.

once you are free from abx, you can slowly resume your normal diet.

however, you will still need to take lots of probiotics for months after.

i have been in remission for 8 months and unfortunately, still need to take probiotics and have yeast problems.

it takes a long time for your body to get back its production of gastro intestinal flora.

i am fat so maybe you don't want to listen to me...but i have found over the years...once you do the original strict diet and you are basically eating healthy most of the time it is ok to have a sweet or something forbidden occassionally---probably not more than once a week

and it works better if you have a lot of good food with it

for some ppl being allowed a small amt of a certain food will keep them from binging or throwing in the towel completely
