That is what I get for posting what I did earlier this week.
I did feel pretty good for about 3-4 weeks. Most of my symptoms were gone. But in the last 5-6 days they have returned...and so has my depression.
I did 6 weeks of abx. Got test results last week. Still have Lyme.
doc suggested IV abx...which I didn't really think I needed. I'm still scared to try that.
So I am starting Cephran (sp?) tomorrow.
Who has experience with this? Is this a good option? I also have chronic Mono...flares up during stress (which I have had plenty of lately). Any suggestions for dealing with that? The only way I know how to get better from that is lots of rest...like 4-6 weeks worth.
I have 3 kids, full time job and a busy life. I don't have time for this. Why can't there be a definite treatment plan?!?! Sorry just venting....

I hear you. This is a horrid disease.

It's amazing how the disease seems to reassert itself just when you think you're making progress.
It toys with me at times.
My issues started with mono a couple of years ago. What are your "chronic" mono symptoms?
I know for me that I haven't felt "sick" since the mono but continually have stamina and fatigue issues as well as unruly floaters...

My mono symptoms are what I call debilitating fatigue...when I have an active case of mono (which I have had 3 times in 09) it is worse than the normal fatigue. I sometimes cannot get out of bed.
I feel it the most when sleeping/resting (or trying to sleep I should say). My body almost trembles/buzzes or something like that. I also feel delirious (like I am in a half coma...almost hallucinating). My tongue/mouth gets a toxic feeling, my stomach bloats, my glands are swollen and sometimes my throat hurts (but not consistenly or even terribly...just a mild ache).
Maybe that is the Lyme...but the reason I think it is more the mono is because when I go get re-tested and the mono is not active anymore, those symptoms go away.
