Actually, I have Harvard Pilgrim here in NH and see an LLMD, ILADS physician and I am covered with a referral from my primary doctor.

I know of more than one other doctor around that is on the LLMD list as is also covered by my insurance. I think you just have to check and see who does take insurance.

I know some of the LLMD's do not take any insurance because of the issues with a lyme diagnosis and being investigated. Someone I know went to one and she is going to try submitting her visit and see if they would cover part of it, some of her igenex testing got covered by submitting it (?maybe 70% of it)

I wanted to try to stick with my insurance first and see if I could get well before I went farther away to someone who is not covered. I know my last antibiotic bill was over $700 but with insuraqnce it was $60.

All prominent ones don't unfortunately. Famous NY docs and others.

Keep in mind though there are other doctors out there who are very bright and know their lyme stuff even if they are not one of the famous names.

I am covered under a group plan at the place I work. My insurance covers per their policy with my employer. I have the highest level of insurance they offer (also the most expensive), but it's worth it because I can go to any doc and get at least some of it reimbursed. I'm very lucky to have this policy! That's why I work...

I get like 70% back from Aetna, just have to send the forms in manually, and they take forever to send the checks, but eventually I get money back

There was one intial visit that was like 400 that they bumped down to like 185, they said the charge did not warrent the service provided
