I have had the stiff neck since day 1 of getting

lyme. The deeper i sleep the more it cracks in

the morning. What is in my neck (and other

patients) that is making that crunching noise

constantly? Is it inflammation? Lactic acid from

the lack of 02? Does it go away...i am currently

treating babesia with mepron / zith and i am on

100 mg of mino daily. I have a positive test for

babesia, stopped treating and fell off. However

i really think alot of the inflammation in my

eyes, brain and neck is from bartonella and i

have never aggresively treated this coinfection.

Thoughts?

thanks,

p

i had a stiff neck for months straight and unrelenting.

not sure what causes it, but i would use moist heat (such as a bean bag 'bed buddy') you microwave for 2 minutes.

it provided temporary relieve. also getting really good massage especially in the neck/spine area was very helpful to get the toxins out of the muscles and neck area.

detoxing (search above for methods) can also be helpful to reduce toxins.

extra magnesium is also good for inflammation too.

I've thought a lot about this too. There are many

possibilities and probably a little of all.

Rick at lymeinfo@yahoogroups sent this out today.

I found it very good science.

That is interesting science - yet really unnecessary. Testing on monkeys with Lyme disease seems cruel. Their inflammatory response is not the same - and the host blood environments are vastly different.

I know -we didn't want SV40 either but we got it. And they did save my 3 children, I am RH-. I'll take the research over any of them any day to save lives.

I don't know what causes it, but I've had it too since I got sick in 1986.
