Someone that I know that has chronic pain just started taking this. He doesn't know if he has lyme or any co-infections, but he does know he has a list of things that could be lyme.
Was wondering if this is ok for him to take? I've never heard of anyone taking it that has lyme. Does this in some way hurt or help?
Thanks in advance.

You need to know where it is sourced.

It's OK to try if your IGF-1 levels are consistently low. My LLMD suggested a trial of HGH. However, I'm waiting to see if things bounce back with treatment.
It is still expensive therapy.
He could also boost IGF-1 indirectly by increasing his testosterone (if his T is low). Results will be variable. He should check all his hormones including thyroid/adrenal/sex hormones.
L-arginine at somewhat higher doses (you don't want to go too high) before bedtime may boost these levels a little. However, this is not recommended if you have an elevated viral load.
Also eradicate H Pylori if it's present as studies suggest HP may negatively influence IGF-1 (as will Lyme).

Yes, I tried doing the injections for a week and they did absoultely nothing for me other than increase the pain/stiffness in my body...Just FYI, I wasn't low in HGH...My LLMD just gave it to me to see if it might help my inflamed muscles...it didn't....

Has anybody here tried CDP-Choline or Alpha-GPC to increase HGH ?
CDP-Choline makes me sleepy and increases my libido. I'm thinking it has something to do with HGH release.
Infact, although it supports Acetyl-Choline, I'm taking it in the evening to support my libido ...

I've been on HGH for 3 yrs and have had no problems. I had the arginine stim test and now that I'm on the drug my Dr checks my IGF-1 levels every visit. IGF-1 is suppose to reflect the growth hormone. I don't know why they don't just check the GH level. That's on one of my lists to ask.
