Hi, has anyone had any luck with alternative lyme treatments. My son can not use antibiotics and I'm looking for alternative treatments. He is 24 years old. Thanks for your help.

I went to Germany and got better using the Bionic 880. There are threads here on it if you search the forum. You can also go to my blog in my signature line .... go back to October to read about my trip.

Many people do well on the Buhner herbs. Read the book Healing Lyme.
Hubby has done a couple of IV antibiotics and still had herx reactions to these herbs.
Not sure how effective the coinfection treatments are, but for Lyme I think it would be worth investigating.
Also there is another herbal protocol using garlic and several Chinese herbs. Dr Zhang also has a book. This protocol seems to work fairly well especially for bartonella, but it is overall more expensive than the Buhner herbs.
A 3rd herbal alternative is the Cowden herbs -- these are tinctures and the most expensive option of the 3. Some LLMD's do use these herbs.
Hubby has done some different herbs from all 3 protocols. His LLMD used to have an herbalist in the practice with him. She is in a different practice now but will be going on maternity leave in the next month or two. After the 1st in person appointment she will do phone consults.

Also look into the rife machine. There have been many posts on here about it and if you do a search of past topics you will find lots of info.
There is also a yahoo rife group but the link escapes me at the moment. Perhaps, someone else who knows it will post it.

A MAJOR componenet of Lyme disease is parasites and worms. I use antiparasitic herbs and salt/c and that was the only thing that helped turn the corner for me. Check out
