I feel as if at some point i will need to aggressively treat suspected bartonella. Does anyone know of themost effective alternatives to levaquin? I don't really want to risk losing my tendon strength to treatment - i've lost enough already to this disease. however....if ALL else fails i will try levaquin to hopefully clead my major psych issues (brain fog / derealization / irritiabilty / eye problems )

Hi
I am currently doing a combo of Biaxin and Bactrim for Bartonella. I'm hoping I won't need to go on levaquin too.

I've been doing Levaquin for 3 weeks. You can definitely notice it in the form of sore tendons (especially post exertionally) but if you load up on Mag it's not too bad. The tendons will bounce back so-to-speak after treatment anyway providing you don't push to the point of rupture...
