Hi All, I have read much about nicotine killing the bugs from Lyme. My question is does anyone smoke cigarettes? Just Curious... Blessings, Just Jan

I've never heard that.. where did you get that information?
I smoked for 13 years. Quit two years ago. I don't think I'd ever start back, even if it did kill the bugs. Can't afford to anyways! lol

I don't mean to start smoking. I am wondering how many smokers get Lyme. Just a curious question. I am taking tobacco in an herbal mixture to kill the nasty buggers. We shall see... Blessings, Just Jan

The two lyme doctors I recommend both require all lyme patients to stop smoking. This requirement is also in Burrascano.
In fact, one doc recently told a friend of mine that if she started smoking again, she believed she would relapse. She did, and she has relapsed.
Smoking compromises the immune system, so it is a no-no. I would imagine that more smokers get lyme for that reason. Their immune system is trying to fight lyme while also overcoming the daily effects of smoking.

There was a post in general about this subject a few weeks ago. Many interesting points of view. There are antiparasitics herbal ingredients in cigarettes as well as toxins.
One of the poisons in cigarettes is arsenic which was used to kill spirochetes in the past. I used to smoke 2 packs a day of menthol cigarettes and swore it was helping me.
I haven't smoked in over a year and don't plan on going back to it. I haven't read about nicotene as a killing agent but it is an herb and maybe there is something to.
Not promoting smoking cigarettes at all, just think the different aspects are interesting,

Hi all, I am a smoker. I don't know about any benefits from the addiction, but I have heard that nicotine increases the ability to Think CRITICALLY as does caffeine.
You rilly don't want to get me started on the smoking "debate".
I would like to quit and will someday, but I am seriously tired of propaganda. Cheers and good health, *BugBit*

I smoke but can't afford it and plus its killing me financially and physically. I know I say I'm so broke but when you are addicted, you buy them anyway. I never noticed that it helped me with sx at all....and it sure as heck didn't help me get well or even close to it.
I'm worse off now than ever.

Ok.. gonna have to stop coming back to this thread. I want a cig! LOL
I was smoking when I got reinfected in 2003. At least a pack a day. But come to think of it, and it's probably just coincidence, .. I didn't start getting the severe neuro symptoms until not long after I'd stopped smoking.

Again, I am not advocating smoking in any way shape or form. I just wondered if people who ingest
tobacco through smoking had any symptoms. I am taking an herbal product with tobacco in it
and I swear I am feeling better. Is it a coincidence???? I don't know. I'm just glad I
feel better.

justjan,
Could you share the name of the herbal product please. Was wondering what other herbs are in there that might be helpful. I think tobacco is an old remedy for getting rid of worms,
