These last couple days have been horrible. I keep having those horrible attacks that hit all of a sudden and leave me feeling horrible. They kinda resemble low blood sugar attacks but aren't. I've never had this until getting sick.
They hit suddenly, and I get extremely weak (espcially in arms), I feel heavy and sluggish, and feel like I will collapse.
Yesterday I had probably atleast 3 of these attacks. I ended up going to be at 730 cause I am so weak. I feel I can barely move sometimes. Quite concerning.
What is this??
I feel the same today, but with added neck, shoulder and spine pain. Also got the twitches.
Please help.

I wish I knew. I get theses attacks too, and my blood sugar is supposedly okay.
It does tend to happen more around that time of the month, and sometimes around ovulation, so I dpn't know if it's hormonal or wgat.

I get these. You described it much like I have described mine.
I've said it's like a bottoming-out, a 'hypoglycemic" attack, but time s 10.
I actually had my glucose checked twice when it has happened, and my blood sugar is fine. My hormones were checked too, all was okay. I've become a bit skeptical of all testing, but I do think my blood sugar, at least, was okay.
I've read various possible explanations for this in Lyme--absorption issues, red-blood cell damage from babesia, insulin resistance. I have no idea which (or whatever else) accounts for these 'attacks', but they're scary and very unpleasant.
And, er....I don't have a cycle (being male), so I can't relate to that aspect.

Do you all have Babs? I'm really thinking I need to get tested...

My LLMD tested me for babs, and it came back negative, so he kind of dropped the discussion. I'm still not convinced I don't have it though.

Just the little I know about the human body, this sudden weakness and exhaustion can be an attack on the nervous system throughout the body.
Muscles can't work if the nerves that go to them are attacked. (For example, if a person breaks their neck, suddenly they may not be able to move their arms and legs--they are quadriplegic. Nothing wrong with the muscles, the blood sugar, etc. It is something wrong with the nerves.) The attack on a lymie's nerves is not this complete; it is a partial disablement.
Lyme is basically a disease of the nervous system. Hence the wide variety of symptoms, including many strange symptoms and sensations.
I had this a lot when I had lyme and company (babs and bart).
Just like suddenly I could have sound sensitivity (attack on auditory nerve) or visual problems (optic nerve attack). Then, they would go away.
