When I started on the zithromax and flagyl about a month ago, I started having problems with frequent urination (4-5 times...sometimes more) at night. This only happens at night for some reason. Was tested for UTI - didn't have that.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Could this be a side effect of taking these 2 drugs together - or an interaction with supplements?

I've never taken them together.
Have you taken each separately previously & not had that happen?

Have you mentioned it to your Dr?

There are a LOT of things that can cause nocturia.

For me, I think Lyme used to do it. [Roll Eyes]

I had overnight urination issues for 6 months or so. I was on Zithro most of the time. For now, while i still take Zithro, I wake up once overnight.

I considered the adrenal out-of-whackness (pardon the technical mediacl term) to be at play with the overnight pee parade based on some research I cannot remember to cite. Of course I have not retested adrenals either, so I'll just call it all a hunch...

I experienced frequent urination on minocycline, I am now on Rocephin Iv's but have just started but getting up at night after it takes so long to fall asleep is very frustrating.
