I'm currently doing IV Rochepin, Tindamax, and Urso and am on about week 6 of the IV treatment. I'm using a well known, Florida based LLMD.
(Already done the Mepron thing.) I was making slow, steady gains in memory clarity, strength, and overall wellness until about two
weeks ago. That's when I seemed to fall off of the health cliff. I'm sick as dog, incredibly weak, aching like
heck, and seem to get worse each day. Is this a herx event? I've been non-stop mess for 2 weeks.
I'm still trying to figure out if this is "normal" for Lyme, Bart, & Babs, folks. Should I request more testing?

Did you add any new meds or supplements or anything right before this sick as a dog thing started? This is very important to consider, so think carefully.
Funny that you got sick as a dog at about the 28 day mark of Rocephin treatment. You know that lyme has a 28 day cycle. So, it could be a herx, but you don't want to come to that conclusion before looking for all other possible causes.
Also, 2 weeks seems a little long to me for it to still be a herx.

I agree with TF. You said IV was week 6. Is Tindamax also on 6 weeks, or did you add it in later?
Did you change any supplements or diet?
Any chance of yeast overgrowth? How's your GI? How about your tongue?
I believe Tindamax is similar to Metronidazole (Flagyl) and I had been told, when I questioned pharmacist, that Diflucal (fluconazole) is often Rxd with Flagyl (even though they're both azoles) because Flagyl can encourage yeast overgrowth.
How's the PICC insertion site look? Are you suddenly running a fever? Any red streaky lines or swelling?

It's also possible that the Rocephin may have driven them to cysts & the Tindamax may be hitting those cysts now.

Sounds like major herxing to me. Back off the meds till you start feeling better. Usually takes about 3 days. Been there and my LLMD told me to do that. I started back slowly on the meds.

I agree. Have to keep the yeast gone. Sounds like a good kill. Don't let yeast take over.

I'm following the standard Lyme protocols. My IV schedule is Mon.-Thurs., twice a day.
Tindamax is taken orally twice a day, two weeks on, one week off. I don't have a PICC line.
A standard IV line is lab inserted with a tagaderm patch in my wrist on Mondays, and I remove it on Thursday night. All punctures are
clean and have healed quickly. The only change of medications for the downhill ride was the fact
that it was my Tindamax "off" week. Symptoms are: very sore muscles and joints, air
hunger, headache, neck pain, brain fog, and incredible weakness. No visible signs of thrush / yeast in the mouth.
My regular family MD checked me yesterday, he's
not a Lyme guy, though. I see a neurologist today.

I would call your LLMD if these symptoms concern you. He would probably know best if what you're suffering right now is a herx, a reaction to something, or whatever.
That's just my gut reaction.

I just went through the same thing for 3 1/2 weeks !!! All my symptoms got worse and added a few new ones to the mix.
I went from the bed to the kitchen to the sofa.
It was a die off as per my doc.
I guess the saying " you have to feel worse before you feel better" is true.
Now I'm back to "my normal".
