if i've had lyme its been for many years and now i'm 26 years old.
so basically i've noticed (i'm not on meds right now, waiting for them to come in) that i sometimes get achy.
the last few days my back has been very achy, and i feel like i'm almost sick but i'm not.
i'm sure a lot of other things could cause this achyness but i wanted to know if anyone here experienced it?
and if this could be a symptom of lyme disease? because i'm not on any meds so i know its not a herx reaction.
i started taking a TON of probiotics the other day and Astragulus (not much at all) and maybe that caused it?
any advice/info would be great. thanks.
ohhhh.. PS. so if i exercise too much, like i went on a long run, i was EXTREMELY achy afterward.
i know that can happen in normal people but i was like, what the heck?

Sure can! My LLMD thought mine was caused by too much of a cytokine response .... the immune system on overdrive.

yes, and LISTEN TO YOUR BODY; don't overdo or you will be paying daily for too much running etc!! back off a little, and listen.

Well I am on Doxy with Zythro pulse right now and for the past few days have had this achy burning feeling in my bones and muscles and HORRIBLE fatigue.
I have gotten that weird achy almost tingling sensation deep in my bones/muscles prior to starting tx, and I assumed it was a lyme symptom.
Like you I am a runnner and find that there are days where I can get out and do a 6-8 mile run and some days where I cannot even get out of bed to do a short walk. But I know that when I feel good enough to run that I do pay the next day with terrible fatigue and body aches. Not the same kind of body aches you get from over-training.
I think as long as the body can handle it, running is a good way to kill off more of the lyme..Get the body temp up and create a herx...Maybe that is what you are feeling after you run. Just be careful to know your limit and what your body can handle at this point.
Being able to run keeps me connected to my "healthy" self and when I have the energy I tie up those laces and hit the road..

Yes, and according to your Western Blot it definately looks like lyme. What are your other symptoms?

I used to think all my body aches were somehow related to exercising -- walking the dogs, ballet, stretch and Pilates classes. That was mostly b/c in the environment of the dance studio everybody complained about this and that pain.
I assumed I was just overusing my muscles until I just simply could not go on.
There were two days last summer when I could not walk b/c my back hurt so bad. Suddenly the pain lifted and I was good as new for a few days. Then I was felled by some other pain.
Lyme can really cause misery!

Going along w this discussion do you guys know if probiotics in high doses can
Cause herx reactions in lyme?

I think it can. I take high powered probiotics and can get a herx. Also--I was doing huge amounts of vitamin c IV's and got huge herxes with that.

I too feel horrible (similar to lyme die off symptoms) when I do a anti-yeast protocol which includes bumping up my Probiotics

Yes, I get this quite often. It feels like I am coming down with the worst case of the flu. I lay in bed and just moan. Sometimes it is gone the next day. And sometimes it lasts for weeks on end. I do not have a fever or any other "symptoms" when it happens, other than just feeling too horrible to even want to eat. I asked a doctor once...."what causes the aches when you have the flu? is it the fever itself or what?" This doctor told me that the "aches" that you feel when you do have the flu, are NOT from the fever, but rather TOXINS from the flu. So I am assuming that when I get this horrible achy body symptom, that it is from toxins.
