So now the nurologist after having my ENG said my nerves were fine and he wants a biopsy with a glucose tolerance test!

I just know that I get burning in my feet like razors and salt.

He cant explain that.

How would it be done? How much skin? From how many sites? It could provide some keys but I'd want to know more first about what he may be thinking.

I do think it is smart for him to question if diabetes is involved. Diabetes is a "side-effect" of lyme, quite often. And, with good diet, after lyme treatment, some patients glucose stuff goes back to normal.

Also, if you might have diabetes, getting good control over that can help lessen many symptoms.

Still, is this neurologist also lyme literate? What has your LLMD said about the nerve symptoms? Just be sure the two communicate.

This may offer some insight regarding how diabetes can be a result of lyme and what to do about it:

I hate neurologists. They know nothing about Lyme. UGH.

Please just have the glucose first. If you have burning please check out thr RSD foundation. This

is when the nerves get hyper and can cause neuropathy. It can be from a virus/injury. Lyme is associated with this and most neurologists won't

even look for this. There are only a very few doctors in the country that know about and can help maintain this condition. DO NOT get a skin biopsy as it can spread this horribly!!!!!

You can PM me if you are looking for a doc in your area.
God Bless,

All you need is a LLMD. I had this bad and 3 docs thought I was nuts. It was Lyme.

For those with the burning feet - soreness of the soles, especially in the morning, is a classic symptom of bartonella.

Not sure if "burning" means "sore" or "hot". But if you're not getting better, definitely check out the bart symptoms.
