I keep having bouts of low blood pressure. Hits about every other month and lasts a few days to a week.

This isn't a question?
I have chronic low blood pressure.... been low for a long time. I have to take Florinef to raise it and drink tons of water with salt and/or water with electrolites in it and that doesn't even help very much. It's always 80/40 or 90/50.

sorry...had a phone call and got pulled away, LOL!! Yes, mine is hitting around the same. And when it hits I get palps return too. It wears me completely out. Just wasnt sure if it was common with Bb or if something else was going on.
Have I mentioned lately that I am OVER this!? I was doing sooo good for a while there and BAM...smacked down to the floor again....

I know how you feel. I was feeling better for a while as well, but then the palpitations started and other symptoms got worse.
And yes, Bb can cause high blood pressure and low blood pressure.

Does your Dr. know you do this? Have you had your adrenals checked? I had this and am now on florinef and cortisol. I went to an endocrinologist. Is the low B/P triggering the palps?
Posted by cjnelson (Member # 12928) on :
not sure what is triggering. cart or horse thing. my adrenal labs are always ok. and this just comes and goes, will be doing just fine then BAM.
first bout was in 05 and it was horrible. was on a 30 day monitor and the lady i called my machine into was like - oh my, no wonder your tired. luckily they are pjcs, junctional, not ventricular so benign but they are off the hook when they hit and the low bp and low heart rate on top of it, wipes me out.
HATE THIS!

My BP has been low for years, long before I ever even heard of Lyme. It has been as low as 90/50, and the nurse checking me (this was at church) wanted me to go to the ER immediately. Yeah right.
But with treatment I've come back up to around 106/70, which is better, although that nurse still thinks it's too low.
