Anyone else? I have become accustomed to that feeling of unreality, but on Biaxin it's really like I'm on another planet.

I was fine on Biaxin UNLESS I layed down flat. I had to sleep propped up on several pillows.

I'm getting some pretty weird stuff, don't know if it's die off or the Biaxin. Hypoglycemia, I think, along with I feel like I'm going to fall down, get really stupid, can't talk, etc. It's icky. I keep hoping it'll get better, it's been about a week, and I'm only on 1/2 the dose. I'm better off laying down or sitting - walking around brings on the "spells."

Biaxin is great stuff one of my mainstays when I was treating watch what abx's your on or mepron, plaqunill etc use same pathway to be processed the liver sometimes when On combo which either use the liver or kidneys you over load especially if on some suppliments or antacids act as a proton pump and retain more of the drug in system than needed or safely processed always check interactions. any drug site can do that theres even one or two in newbie links.

Hats, that is very interesting. Did you feel faint otherwise?

Denise, that sounds like something similar. I am completely disoriented. I almost had to call my husband to ask where the pharmacy is. This in a neighborhood that I have lived in for 3 years.

Treepatrol, thanks so much. I will be extremely careful how I mix meds. For now, I am only on the Biaxin.

My son felt "out-of-body" on Biaxin XL. It was very scary for him & me. He has taken a lot of antibiotics and had never felt this way before.

Peggy, definitely. How is he doing? Did he stop with the Biaxin?

I had this on my biaxin/amoxy combo. Total feeling like I wasn't really present. I didn't realize how bad it was until I stopped taking it.

Interestingly, it did not happen on zithromax even though that's related to biaxin.

I only felt that way on the generic Biaxin. I then switched to the name brand and felt human again.

Yeah, opus, zithromax was fine for me too. That's interesting.

Thanks for the tip, amk. Maybe I will try that.

Interestingly, I had the same reaction -- I couldn't tolerate Biaxin at all (lots of feeling disembodied, and terrible head pressure and spinal swelling -- finally had to go off it)

I did fine with zithromax, too.

I know others who have been fine with biaxin, though.
