Just recently I have been getting a sore in my nose. I can't see it, but I know it's there. Just on the inside of my nostril. It hurts there and I can feel it. I had it in the same exact place a few weeks ago and then it went away. Now it is back.
I can't find any info on sores in nose and lyme. But I have found that it is a symptom of Lupus.
I've seen a Rheum who tested me for auto immune and all the tests were normal. I believe my GP tested me as well and were normal.
Could I have a lupus and negative lupus testing?
Or can this be from lyme?
As always doubting my dx of lyme.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm not sure about the lupus question, but I have been experiencing the same repeat nose sores that you describe.
Over the last two years or so I get a painful sore just inside my right nostril, always coming back in the exact same place.
It doesn't return very frequently, thank goodness...just annoying for a few days to a week, then gone.
I don't have lupus...mine seems more lyme-related. As soon as I get one I dab a little neosporin on it with a Q tip a couple of times a day and it goes away more quickly (and is less painful too.)

I've experienced this, too. I had a painful sore deep inside my left nostril several years ago - later learned it was an offshoot of my electrosensitivity, probably working in conjunction with Lyme, as I'd been holding a cordless phone to my left ear for several years.
I'm also wondering if lupus is involved somehow as my anti-striatal muscle antibodies were equivocal - so you might want to get those checked.
If these sores turn into nosebleeds though and you are a wireless phone user, don't ignore it. Both my mother and my ex-husband experienced severe nosebleeds several years before being diagnosed with their brain tumors.

About two years ago I discovered a painful bump just inside my right nostril - like behind tip of nose. It bothered me - so I picked at it - and some secretions came out. I left it alone and "it" came back. Then found one in left nostril.
Weeks ago I was re-reading book "Conquering Chronic Fatigue" and saw a reference to "nostril breeding bacteria". Today noted the author is, oddly enough, Dr JF. Excerpts:
"people can harbor harmful bacteria in their noses", "resistant to particular antibiotics", "if culture returns showing heavy growth of normal flora, is negative", "if staph, strep or gram neg bacteria, this must be treated", "Bactroban application in nose 3x/day". "plus other Abx's if needed".
I talked to my GP about this and received Rx for Mupirocin. Really not helping.
I found these links useful - hope is ok to post.
Reading them I don't understand. One can harbor bacteria, but when is one considered infectious? ie systemically making us feel sick?
Possibly connected to LD?

They are PARASITES. I have been doing salt/c for 3 yrs and the salt makes them come out in tact.

I agree with GLM.
Have finally seen what they are with my own eyes.
You will see when you decide to do a cleanse.
Mine are pinworms. Also in my ears causing itching.
They can go away with time I have been told, still working on it.

I get a sore in the same exact place in my left nostril and I finally picked up on the fact that it is there when I am really bad. I put neosporin on it and it seems to help.

Yes lp, Mine are almost gone..
.They might also be Filarial Worms...had one finally exit my ear, but it had a different shape. I think we may be infected with as many as 6-8 macroscopic parasites and worms
..people that complain of ear fluttering might want to consider they are parasites.

I used to get those. Still do once in a blue moon.
Try flushes with silver.

Mine still there. I want to have them lanced. They hurt. Confused - it is staph or parasites? Cleanse? As in sea salt?

It can be staph as well as parasites since the nasal area is known to harbor the staph bacteria.
I do the salt/c protocol and antiparasitic herbs. You can do a search on here at the top of the page and type in cleanses and also parasites and lyme,

I just got a sore in my nose the other week and it was actually a cold sore - Herpes simplex 2 (The non-sexually transmitted type of herpes).
I usually get them on my mouth and just under my nose, and on a rare occasion I get them in my nose. It is brought on my stress & weakened immune system.
