I know the review board met on July 30th to look over the current guidelines. When can we expect the results from this meeting to be made public.
Were there any LLMD's on this panel. DO we think the ISDA will actually change some of its guidelines?

They said we should know by the end of the year.

Yes, there were LLMD's. Dr. Cameron was there, Dr. Liegner, Dr. Stricker, Dr. Phillips... I can't remember who else...

I watched the entire thing, I thought the ILADS group made a convincing arguement, but it seemed

to me that the panel was more interested in what the IDSA people were saying... I don't know how

that is going to shake out, it's scary.

purplemom,

No LLMD's on panel -- there were several LLMD's who presented evidence.

Personally I think ILADS won hands down.

But I also think there will be no major changes to the current guidelines.

That is just my opinion.

I think they will make subtle changes just so they can say they made some changes. But I doubt anything that will help ppl with chronic LD. This is just my humble opinion.

Sorry... misread the original post. No LLMD on the panel, but the ones I listed above were presenters in the hearing.

I thought ILADS won as well, but what we think and what the Panel thinks are two different issues.

It seemed in the questioning periods that they were more interested in what the IDSA said than what ILADS had to say.

I'm not being to optimistic on drastic change.

That pretty well sums up my thoughts! I'm not holding my breath for anything that will help us or anyone else.

Say for instance they do wiggle this and that, and that is all. Would we have a greater chance at a change if we all showed up on congress' door to protest now or later after their decision has been announced?
