Hi, I was hospitalized over the weekend but my regular gp who knows nothing about Lyme wanted me released. I was having severe neuro symptoms but my cat scan came back normal.I called my LLMD Friday morning Dr. D with no response.
I am scared out of my mind. My head feels so odd and I am not myself. The base of my skull into my neck feels strange.I feel like I am going to end up in a straight jacket.
Blurry vision, fine tremors, crooked or unable to walk straight at times, shakiness, dizziness, scary brain fog to the point I was suicidal, trouble concentrating, mispelling simple words or leaving words out, muscle spasms, burning headaches, severve fatigue, arthritis, twitching and muscle pain
The only thing I can think of is that I was trying to treat for Candida and wonder if I may have stirred up heavy metals. I broke a mercury thermometer as a child and have had my alagram filings removed but never detoxed.
My head feels strange I have been having crying spells, my tounge feels swollen & werid and my mouth tastes metallic. I feel suicidal and full of anxiety, irritable and angry. The Dr. gave me ativan and it helps alittle but as soon as it wears off I am aware of the strange way my brain feels.
I have called an ND to try and get in asap as I know my LLMD does not treat for heavy metals and candida. I have an active yeast infection and cold sore on my mouth. I feel like I am toxic. I am hoping this Dr. can help me I am at the end of my rope.
Anyone ever have these symptoms? Or know anything about the heavy metals and Candida. I am off antibiotics at the moment. I just cant seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel...
Thanks, Ann

Ann, I'm sorry you're still having so much trouble.
It could be the candida itself if you have not been using preventative measures to keep it away.
PS I think contacting a naturopath is a good idea. He can help you get rid of the yeast.

Hi, Thanks Lymetoo! Well Suprisingly Dr. D's office did call today. They said that the Boston Office is closing and that there is a NP in Amhearst that is treating patients. They gave me an appt. for Thursday. I'm desperate so I am taking it. The ND wanted $500 for the appt! Seems pretty excessive! I can't afford that so I will have to go with the NP for now. This disease is so aggrevating my god. Still sick and praying they can help me.

Have you tried taking sub-lingual B-complex vitamins that contain a good dose of B-12?
Also do you watch your sugar/carb intake & eat frequent small meals (at least 6 small meals/protein-containing snacks per day)?
If not, you may want to try those things in the mean time.

Your symptoms sound like familiar lyme. My friend has had them for 9 years (undiagnosed until '08). They are episodic with her.
They may just be coincidental with your candida tx.
Sounds like a resurgence of lyme or bart since you're off abx. Or it's getting into your neuro-system.
I hope it gets better!

Your symptoms do sound like they could be the Lyme itself especially since you're not treating.
Nutramedix zeolite might help bind up some of those metals. Also chlorella.

I hope you can find a better LLMD soon too!

I was in your situation - VERY similar symptoms, including the recurrent episodes of crying and it scared the socks off of me. This is Lyme at its worst, neuro-lyme....maybe babesia too, especially if you feel neck muscle involvement. Take a deep breath, and know that this will pass. Desperation is a term we pass around casually until you actually feel the real thing. God, I know where you are at. Those days have long passed for me, and I want you to know there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep advocating for yourself, getting good LLMDs... that, prayer and friends are what we lean on in times like these. Please know you are not alone. I am sending you all my best, John
