I know everyone is different, that I learned quickly. But for any of you with Rocephin experience, how long did it take to see any difference, good or bad?

I am going on 6 weeks, after the 1st week I felt a little uplift but now it's just nothing.

I hate to think of spending all this money and getting no benefit like all the other abx.

I have been on Rocephin for 3 wks today and I only had a couple days out of it that were good. I finished my last dose today and the last 2 days have been almost unbearable. I have an appt with my Dr. on Monday but will see what happens if I can wait it out or not. My achillies tendon area in both legs are just so painful also my throat is hurting but not like a sore throat but just a ache. I was so hoping that this last round of meds would really help me. I also have RA and have been off all those meds for 3 months now so maybe a combination of the 2 things. My Doctor only wanted 3 weeks of it...what kind of Dr. put you on 6wks.? Hope you feel better soon. Laura

My improvement was very slow and steady, almost unnoticeable. I only noticed the improvement after I came off, and realized I was taking a nosedive!

Best abx I have been on so far...

Good luck.

My neuropathy improved within the first month on IV Rocephin. I think I noticed the most improvements overall at the end of my 3rd month.

As mazou said, it is a very slow and steady process.

I think it took me about 6 weeks to see improvement. I felt absolute horrible herx for 4 weeks.

Yeah... it took a couple months before I noticed a real difference in my neuro problems. Perhaps they helped sooner, but I really didn't notice.

My doctor had me stay on it for a month after my major symptoms went away, which for me took 6 months. While it may take a long time it's worth doing it lest you run the risk of relapse.

Thanks for your replies, maybe something will happen. I just hate to think of wasting all this money if it's like everything else...not doing a thing.

Thanks.
