The duck from hubby's 2nd ER visit this week said a tremor had to be in both an arm and a leg and they had to be on the same side of the body.
Anyway -- hubby's tremors have always been worse in his left arm and right leg. And sometimes they only affect his upper body. The worse things are with his brain the more parts of his body shake -- teeth chatter, tongue spasms, neck jerks etc etc.
Told the doc that the IM Ativan shot had started working but had not taken out the tremor entirely -- just his left arm was shaking when the doc examined him. But most of the rest of his muscles were worn out and locked up rigid.
Hubby said later that it was a good thing that God had taken away his voice at the time. The doc made so many ridiculous sttements I just wasn't up to arguing at the time.
And of course since the doc said hubby's neuro symptoms didn't make sense he was psychiatric.

i was just dx about a month ago with myoclonus but before the dx and full body spasms i did experience very localized tremors
i found this site to be helpful in explaining the different classifications of myoclonus:
does your husband's dr feel that lyme is causing the myoclonus?
to you both

Bea,
I noticed in some of your other posts that you mentioned that your hubby had an ascaris infection. I just wanted to add that if there are any eggs left in the G.I. track the whole cycle can start all over again.
They can infect muscle tissue as well as cause the myclonus jerks and tremors which I have had. (I expelled 20" worms) Just a thought for you to consider. Hope your hubby feels better,
