I was hoping the discussions about worms, filaria, etc did not apply to me.
Have collected a worm-like object, seems too big to be filarial, but not sure just how big they do get. This one is pointed on both ends, can extend to 3 inches or more. Roundworms are nematodes too. Have been flipping thru parasitology textbook but have no scope, so don't think I can I.D. this thing.
Interesting bits of info:
--some nematodes have periodicity of activity, as in nocturnal, diurnal, or none noted
--hypothyroidism can increase pathogenicity of nematode infections
Not sure what I am going to do about this. Start by reading a lot of posts in the archives maybe.

I felt the same way, and actually ignored the parasite posts for the first 1 1/2 years on this forum. I trusted my LLMD's stool test that said I was negetive toparasites!
Until someone I trusted on lymenet recommended I try a parasite cleanse based on cintinued symptoms along with a liver, kidney and colon cleanse to support my body after abx treatment.
I was shocked to observe the multitudes of species I eliminated, using humaworm.
Curezone.com has lots of pictures posted. The herbs did not bother me at all, and it was a very easy experiment to see for myself if I had any parasite issues.
I highly recommend anyone to try this or another similar product. From my personal experience, I believe most chronically ill people have parasite problems! A big component to healing is cleaning the terrain and balancing the body.

I tried humaworm it did nada.My pcp said I likely dont have parasites because of lack of GI symptoms (doesnt explain non intestinal parasites though). I plan to run ivermectin course as a bridge after I finish my first abx cycle.

Seeing is believing. I never had visible infection, but surely had microscopic problems; couple rounds Mepron a few years back seemed to have cleared it.

I do humaworm cleanses several times a year. I get some for the dogs too! I didn't actually see anything until the second clease. You gotta get em all!!

I also do periodic Humaworm cleanses. I had good results from Enula, too .... different worms than with Humaworm.
I'm doing a Dr. Natura cleanse now, and I'm feeling great with it.

Hey sixgoofykids, are you doing the Dr. Natura Colonix? I think that's what it's called or are you doing something different?
I was on that site looking and boy, there's some yucky pictures there. LOL
I'm trying to figure out if the colonix is just a colon cleanse or if it kills parasites, too.

One dose of any antiparasitic herbs is not nearly enough to get at the parasites that have made their home in the G.I. track.
Over 3yrs ago I took what would be equivelant to 20 caps of Humaworm (Chinese Herbs)a day for six months.( Not suggesting anyone do this, but it did set these parasites up for the kill.)
These herbs were loaded with wormwood. The enormous amounts (bowls full for months of worms/parasites/flukes/eggs/larva) did not let go until 2 days after I started the salt/c.
If you read the info on the lymephotos site, the owner said it took 2 months before they let go after she started the salt/c.
They are Master Survivalists and difficult to get rid of. Check the symptom list for parasites and you may be surprised at how many of the symptoms you may have.
To think you don't have parasites is not realistic. Statistically approx 80-90% of the population has parasites.

Not sure what the worm you describe is, but there are lots of images floating around the internet. I think curezone might be a good source, or just google worms + images.
Please be awar that the parasites have layed larva and eggs and that you have to get rid of them in order to get rid of the infections. According to Hulda Clark, cloves are very important to get rid of eggs,

right glm... according to Hulda Clark you need a mixture of ground cloves,wormwood and the green hull of BlackWalnuts TOGETHER for it to work properly on parasites.

The combo of the three herbs are important. It is suggested to give this combo a 90 day break so as not to build up a resistance.
I have also read that doing extra cloves(gets rid of eggs) during that time along with different other herbs such as ginger, cayenne, cinnamon, thyme etc is okay.
Persistence is key. I am still getting rid of these multiple worm infections after 3 yrs. I also use salt/c. I think people with Lyme could have as many as 5-7 different kinds of worms infections,

Gael, the hypothyroid books suggest that this condition in general reduces immune function and ability to fight infections.
It turns out that nematodes include a lot of different critters:
"Nematodes commonly parasitic on humans include ascarids (Ascaris), filarids, hookworms, pinworms (Enterobius) and whipworms (Trichuris trichiura). The species Trichinella spiralis, commonly known as the trichina worm, occurs in rats, pigs, and humans, and is responsible for the disease trichinosis. Baylisascaris usually infests wild animals but can be deadly to humans as well. Dirofilaria immitus are Heartworms known for causing Heartworm disease by inhabiting the hearts, arteries, and lungs of dogs and some cats. Haemonchus contortus is one of the most abundant infectious agents in sheep around the world, causing great economic damage to sheep farms. In contrast, entomopathogenic nematodes parasitize insects and are considered by humans to be beneficial."
I was thinking that filaria and microfilaria referred to just Wucheria and its relatives, but it turns out that it is a stage in the development of other nematodes too. Microfilaria have been found in the blood of some lyme patients.
My parasitology textbook has some other interesting things to say:
--the effect of worms on carbohydrate metabolism can produce hypoglycemia in the host. So, maybe this means that those of us who wake up in the middle of the night are hypoglycemic, possibly from worms we are harboring. It could also be from adrenal dysfunction.
--parasites like worms can produce toxins. Could that be part of the total pathogen load that increases inflammation to high levels?
The nematode Dr. Burgdorfer found in a tick was of the type that includes a filaria stage.
So, maybe we got nematodes from ticks or from other sources, or both.

I'm rifing for parasites once per week and I got a die off reaction this week. Haven't "seen" anything in a while but know that I have parasites.
My NP found that I have ascaris and a couple more last week so I'm treating with his tincture as well.
You have to work REGULARLY on parasites - if you have pets you surely have parasites. If you are human you more than likely have parasites.
I've done several humaworms and have had a different experience each time - found some "lovely's" one time, another time I had a HUGE die off reaction and other times almost nothing (but I believe it still worked on something)
Right now I'm treating the hubby with Humaworm because he lets my dog lick him on the face, lips! I love my dog but.......

Thanks for the very interesting info on nematodes. I suspect also that we may be infected with between 5-7 different types of worms.
