Is Kefir enough or do I still need to take probiotics while on ABX? If so, how much kefir should I be drinking daily?
Thanks, Jen

BE SURE to take probiotics .. you don't want to be sorry!!! Yeast can be a huge problem. Avoid at all costs!
Kefir (unless it's homemade) contains a lot of sugar. Read labels or make your own. There was a thread this past week on kefir.
Look on page 2 or 3 or do a search.

It was Jennie's thread TuTu And Jennie, as TuTu has said, take probiotics too. Have you gotten any kefier grains yet? If not, let me know...I'll send you some.

Yes, take the probiotics, too. Kefir is good, and I make/drink it myself. I also drink Kombucha and eat lots of sauerkraut that I also make.
But, on abx you better also supplement. It's still worth consuming the fermented products because they have different strains and enzymes.

but i would definitely add the probiotics. its as important as the lyme treatment to replace your flora. when i used to make kefir i would empty a probiotic capsulae into the drink & let it ferment togeather. worked pretty good till i couldn't stomach the kefir anymore.
none of the above is medical advise - just my 2 cents
