I have eating mostly protein and vegtables with my carb intake being brown rice and just started eating Mcann's oatmeal yesterday. For the past 3 days i have had yellow stool for bowel movements with oil spots in the water. Every since being dx ( years) i have had stomach problems. Pain under my left lower rib and i get pain in the back right side of my rib also. i have had alot of blood work and all ok w/ liver and pancreatic enzymes (althouhg i have not had one in 3-4 months). In the past have had fecal fat test,celiac,c-dif,cystic fibrosis,ct scan and echo of both gallbaldder and pancrease. Have had stomach emptying test and gallbladder challenge after eating eggs. All seem to be functioning properly. Never had oily stools before. Could it be b/c of my diet or possible yeast die-off? I also have a major problem w/ belching. this has lasted 4 years and nothing i try works. thanks

I thought this was related to celiac. What kind of test did you have for it? Since you ate oatmeal last night it really makes me wonder. Could also be a malabsorption problem. go here for more info:www.celiac.com

Found this on the net: "Oily or greasy looking stools that usually float and can be large can mean that your pancreas or small intestine are not functioning well enough and not releasing enough digestive enzymes. Normal stools are about 1% fat. When this percentage increases to about 7%, the stool will look oily and greasy. This is called steatorrhea. High fat meals can cause this to happen but should be temporary."
