does any one here are you hearing this? a sound of squirt or something?

Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :

Yes..

It is like the sound of squeezing a partly emptied ketsup bottle at the hotdog stand at the local ball field.

I was told it is caused by swelling around/in the spinal cord/neck area.

The spinal fluid is trying to get up around the brain and then back down through the spinal canal... along the back.. but due to swelling it can't quite get it.

A certain movement or turning or whatever allows some to break free and move.

I found a chiropractor helped greatly to release the muscle spasms, reduce the swelling and free up the joints to help correct this problem.

Hope this helps!

BTW- heat may increase swelling.

thanks.. what might cause this swelling tincup? the bacteria?

could it be possible this is the causing my chronic symptoms?

not yet, i went to a naturopathic clinic, gave me a 10 days program.. all regarding detoxification and diet..

could this help? its a tough program for me cause i'll eat only organic foods, juices and water..

i might loose weight again on this program.. anyone can this be of help.. i will start it on sunday cause im trying to buy all the fruits and veggies needed

by the way, why is it that the inflammation cannot be seen on mri and CT scans?

Posted by Gerard Bobis (Member # 22747) on :

i'm just a bit scared of this new routine that i would implant in my life.. i hope this works a bit..

in my mri and ct scan, nothing was seen, what you think might be the reason? well, i know we are not doctors here, but if you had an idea then i'll address it to my neuro next week.

so, inflammation might be from bacteria after all, right? i never had any accident in my life, except when i was 8 years old when i slipped, fall head first on the ground but i didn't feel anything after that except from the lump on the part on which it was hit.

i started to notice this weird sound 2 years ago only and i just ignored since it doesnt caused me any disturbance at that time.

oh by the way, since the testing kit from iGeneX will arrive maybe next week, will the results be affected if i do the program of detoxification before my blood extraction?

MRI and CT cannot see a lot of what is going on. Both methods miss a great deal. Inflammation rarely shows on any scan except, perhaps, thermograms - and then the cause cannot be determined.

I said inflammation can be from infection. That would include bacteria but also would include all infections, viral, protozoal, fungal, etc. Inflammation can also come from allergies or even less notice chronic food or environmental sensitivities.

Even from all the scented products that we are bombarded with - or chemicals added to textiles, etc. Anything that becomes a burden to your body. Liver stress can cause inflammation, too. I imagine the naturopathic clinic advised no alcohol consumption for a while - and to be sure to avoid breathing in chemicals, say, from a printing press, etc.

Just try to be a clean and clear as you can. My guess is that you will feel better from it, whether or not you need to go further with diagnoses or not.

---

I don't see how a good diet can possibly harm a test. Any sort of detoxification protocol cannot make an infection disappear. However, lyme infections do not always show up in tests, even from the best lab - but it is a start to the investigative process.

Be sure to read the instructions on the Igenex site and have all the pieces in place:

the lab collection; being sure they can prepare for shipping and that Fed Ex will pick up that day - be sure the lab has enough time and staff from the time you get the blood drawn to the time of their scheduled Fed Ex pick-up - or if they have to call, be sure it happens.

Also be sure that this will reach Igenex in time, usually needs to be drawn early in the week. If you sent it out late in the week, they may not be able to use the sample.

You might have to ask the flight times from the Philippines to California and even if you cross the date line back a day. You'd know more about that, though.

yeah, that's what i'm gonna do.. there's an instruction in the kit given right? we also called fedex and they recommended that monday should be the best time to have blood extraction and give it to them..

naturopathic and herbals are different right? can i mix this things up after my detoxification process? i already found a herbologist and i'll them later and ask infos about lyme..

Ohhh . . . I did not realize you would be taking supplements - or I spaced that.

I thought, at first, they just had you on organic foods and that would be the detoxification process.

Correct, herbs and supplements are not synonymous. Herbs are supplements that are plant based. Supplements include vitamins, minerals and other specific nutrients (which may be plant based but not necessarily).

Some (if antispirochetal in nature) could affect the lyme test but I'm not up on that. Call and ask Igenex.

The herbologist / herbalist? Is that a different person from whom you saw at the naturopathic clinic?

Does whomever you are working with know ALL about lyme and other chronic stealth infections as discussed in previous threads? If they don't they may not serve you well - although they may be able to help with something not yet considered and should be knowledgeable about conditions in the Philippines.

If you have traveled elsewhere, be sure they know that.

yes it's a different person.. the naturopathic doctor just gave me supplements and a diet program but not herbal treatment for any infection or bacteria that's why i researched who practices herb treatment here in my country.

the supplements recommended by ND are, Ca liquid and tablet, Vit. B, some tea.. i'm not taking it since i haven't started the program. as of now, im taking vit. C and multi-vitamins, vit.B liquid and magosteen juice but i dont see any improvement with it. (just took this without prescription)

will this affect my test? i havent seen any improvement so maybe it doesnt have any chance of altering the result, what do you think?

Improvement could take several weeks to several months if nutrients have been running low for some time.

Be sure to take B-vitamins with enough food.

Actually, if something challenges lyme (if present) that might actually help the test be clearer.

Mangosteen may or may not affect the test. Call Igenex and ask. Mangosteen is fairly well known as a supplement that they should be able to offer you an answer.

i haven't travelled yet out of the country. anyway, i already told the ND that i am suspect for lyme.. she doesn't told me anything just laid out the program and told me to follow it strictly.

i'll try to call iGeneX about the supplements i am taking. i hope it wont affect the result, its a gamble already but its worth a try just to inform the MDs here that chronic lyme must be addressed also in our country.

maybe this is my role GOD has given me. i'm thinking this way, so that i will prevent thinking negatively. its been tough since i'm in this country, and MDs are just not so much of help and cooperative sometimes. how can an LLMD become an LLMD by the way?

thanks for the information.. it's hard for us to suffer this way but i believe everything has a purpose..we must act accordingly to his will..

take care to all..

Whatever, Whomever, However God is, lyme is not something that anyone's God would "give" to anyone. We live in a physical world. Much of what happens is a result of physics and biology - we happen to be in a place at a particular time and a particular microbe wants us for dinner.

Sometimes, our choices can set us up but generally, the food chain system runs the world. However, in this world we also have medicine (as it is intended to be). Someone (whom I cannot recall) once said something like "for every ailment, there is a plant or a food or a healing protocol to address that."

Knowledge is power. We can learn, grow and heal by accepting the knowledge of the earth's gifts and - sometime, also - from scientists who work hard in the lab. We hope for the wisdom to determine the best path and for good doctors who can guide us.

Negativity can be tempered with determination.

An MD can become lyme literate through study and camaraderie and professional association with others who are experienced in this field.

i see. an open minded and interested MD would do that.. well in my case, no one is willing to give time on doing research on that, which really make me piissed off.. i already handed the burrascano guidelines to my ID and said she will study it.

but days go by, i really wanted to be treated, since they still want to keep on waiting for the result

Hey Big G...

Sorry I flaked out earlier (had a dinner date), but Keebler, as always, as provided you great information.

I may add...

The detox and supplements won't affect your tests.

Some good LLMD's are actually now recommending detoxing BEFORE treatment so you will have a better time of it when treating.

Like starting with a clean slate.

So what you are doing sounds reasonable and good to me.

A few days here or there of waiting to start treatment will not change much at this point.. if anything.

So clean up and build up your system. That's a good plan.

tin is scarring also included in lyme list of symptoms? its really weird, thats what ifeel inside me.. from nose, mouth to stomach.. is it possible?

Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :

Scarring?

Can you describe that a bit differently?

I'm sorry, I'm not "getting it".

Is this a raw feeling inside your mouth, etc?

Or a tight skin feeling (hard skin) outside in those areas?

More info may help me here to try to answer you.

Thanks!
