caught it in 1995 when i discovered 3 circles on
my body. now i have been tested can anyone tell
these test results if i have lyme even after I
tested by a crappy LLMD in west chester,pa who
told me he didn't belive in lyme disease.
he gave me amoxilin and pain medicine and sent
me for blood work. pcr dna for coinfections and
lyme. all came back negative. my quest initial
blood work this year says this.
18KB (1GG) BAND REACTIVE
LYME DISEASE AB (IGM) WB POSTIVE
23 KB (IGM) BAND REACTIVE
41 KB (IGM) BAND REACTIVE
Do I have lyme disease still? was i undertreated in 1995?

You can have relapses, where the lyme and co-infections resurface when the body is
under stress.
It is dormant (remission) if you were treated
appropriately, but it can come back later.
If you were not treated appropriately for all
tbd's, your body is doing its best to fight
back, but with continuing symptoms.
Maybe post on "seeking a doctor" for
an ILADS dr.

Daddy,
You have undertreated lyme. Don't be scared. Be happy that it is possible to feel much better than you do right now......
*Stressing* see a real lyme doc.

It is known through some recent research that the
borrelia can convert to cyst form, in as little as
3 days when threatened with antibiotics. There are
some things LLMD's are doing to try to prevent
this. I would consult a LLMD to determine if you
really are latent like its sister syphilis is
know to become or active disease. I am trying vitamin E. and Nystatin.

The 41 band indicates an antibody to the flagella protein.
23 is another lyme positive band.
Those are often the first 2 bands to show up.
"An IgM Western Blot must have ***two or more bands*** of the following three bands: 23, 39, 41"

"23 kDa was shown to be one of the major allergens reacting with IgE"

Reason: Bb does indeed bind to our plasminogen which converts to plasmin which activates collagenase (breakdown of collagen).
A lot is happening in the basement membranes.
Where are they? Illustration here (make the picture bigger):

See how close it is to our blood vessels?
Our antibodies to some of Bb's proteins is what is being measured.
We are testing for signs of our REACTION to Bb.
