I read that most chronic sinus problems are from fungus. So I was thinking Biotics ADP oregano oil would be good. But I also remember hearing that blood doesn't really go to the sinus area, (not sure if that's true) so I'm not sure if that would work.

Get a bottle of Nutribiotic brand GSE nasal spray. Use 2 squirts 2-3x per day until symptoms are gone for a couple days.

This cleared me up a couple times when antibiotics didn't work.

My father has also struggled with chronic sinus infections. He was always congested, even with sudafed, and had horrible horrible sinus breath. I bought him some GSE spray and made him use it for a couple weeks earlier this summer. He has not had any symptoms since.

Try rinsing out the sinuses with warm salt water. You can buy what is known as a netti pot to do this. Also, it is called SinuCleanse. It is a plastic "tea pot" with a spout that fits into the nostril and some packets of premeasured and premixed salt and baking soda.

Any druggist should be able to point you to this product.

A friend of mine swears by this. She got multiple sinus infections every year until she started to cleanse her sinuses daily with this product. No more sinus infections.

When I get congested, this keeps it from turning into an infection and gets me well. Hope it helps you. It is very inexpensive. I mix up my own solution after using up the packets. It costs nothing!

Janice--my CA LLMD tested me for something called MARCONs, which is a staph infection in the nose and is apparently responsible for a lot of chronic sinus infections.......

You can do a nasal swab (Dr Ordered) and then send it to this specialized lab.....the treatment is a compounded nasal spray for a month. You could try that and see if you get improvement. Perhaps staph is your issue.

I love my neti pot! It's great for keeping the sinuses clean. I use just plain salt water (neti pot salt).

I think a netipot is the best!!!! (nasal rinse)

Can one really use a netipot if you have a slightly deviated septum?

I would think so. Probably would be good for that to make sure things get cleaned out.

I was going to suggest Zyrtec..but I guess that's not what you wanted.

Xlear nasal spray, with Xylitol as the "active" ingredient, works GREAT on nasal infections--just washes those little buggers right off!

Best,

Cass A

Have you done a yeast treatment? Nothing worked for my daughter's sinus issues until she did the Yeast Connection protocol. Has not had sinus issues for 3 years now!
