Hi all,

I just saw Dr. F for the second time to get my results and it went very well. I don't know what I'm allowed to post and not, so if you're interested to hear what he found PM me. Also let me know what if I can post my results here. He did find a couple of things and he started me on Azythromiacin 250mg every MWF. So far I really like him.

You can post anything you want. Just don't give his/her name. Curious to hear about your visit and test results.

We're not supposed to post a dr's protocol. It's very obvious who the dr is.. so posting that would be the same as posting his name with it.

You're always allowed to post test results.

If we're not allowed to post doctor's protocol here then there's a lot of people breaking the rules.

I read posts everyday here of people sharing what their LLMD's are prescribing to them. News to me.

Sherrie,

Glad it went well.

Well it is probably bad to post your protocol if you are mentioning the doctor in the subject line, or even in the body of the message, if it is specific and obvious who the doctor is.

But if you just say, "I'm on Biaxin and Bicillin and Mepron" and you're not refering to your doctor in the post, that should be fine.

Do NOT post doctor names, treatment specifics or detailed discussion

LymeNet Users,

The LymeNet Terms & Conditions contain the following:

"You agree not to post the last name, or the first name, of any person that treats Lyme disease.

Instead, please use the first initial of the last name only, with the state, but not city.

For example, Dr. G. in WV. This person's contact information should not be displayed on LymeNet.

However, you may PM or email this information. This is to protect those that treat Lyme and the Lyme community."

I also strongly suggest you not posts the specifics of your treatment protocol or the detailed discussion / dialog that took place between you and your doctor during your office visit.

Current HIPPA laws prohibit the doctor from discussing your care with anyone but you without your written permission.

I suggest you respect the doctor - patient relationship by discussing any issues or concerns directly with the doctor and not posting them on an Internet BB.

A little reinforcement.

The following is part of an email exchange I had with Pat Smith, President of LDA:

"Lou, at the moment I know of a half dozen or more of docs under scrutiny. A few of the docs have websites and go out there, but most don't. The major websites do not post names.

I do not use names when I speak about docs, we do not use them on materials in testimony and try to train patients not to use them.

I used to think people were a bit out there when they said websites were monitored. We know from certain legal cases that indeed, that has happened. People speak about treatment on the net.

Not good to have someone say Dr XXXX gave me 1G XXXX drug 2x day.

I actually have become more conservative as I have seen documents and heard political chatter all over and I think we keep docs and specifics of treatment as off the net as possible."

Got the message?

Thanks and take care,

I just dont understand a rule that posts Dr Burrascano's treatment guidelines on the Links page, online library page and you freely send it out to newbies using the doctors full name..

Dr. C's info right on top of the board. Many disciussions about his treatment protocol.

Fry Labs mentioned all the time.

I like the rule, I think it is important. And hey
maybe its part of the reason Dr. Burrascano is not practicing anymore....

I'll remove this message, just find it infuriating that the people who administer and are on the board the most are the worst offenders of this rule. Starting from the main page....

lol. Yep, hide protocols. That's why we're all still here I believe at times. New people have no idea about what works or doesn't. Something needs to change in this respect.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop thinking an outsider can't figure out LLMD info / treeatment methods. Anyone could get these in two days w/o an issue.

I have found this to be frustrating too...

Seek. I think your right .. anyone can figure it out. But in a court of law if you have only a DR S in FL you could find a ton of them and it is being asked so that those things are not typed out so it can not be gathered up and used against that doctor.

Needless to say. if you gather up all the DR. S in FL on this site and put the parts together you CAN formulate who it is. It would be just a little harder to prove it..
