About every 30 days it seems like my symptoms get worse for a week or so, followed by improvement. Then the cycle repeats itself.
I'd be curious to hear from others with this experience.
This has occurred both on and off antibiotics, so it is not connected to a herx reaction.
P.S. I'm a male so it is not tied to the female cycle.

here.. i'm cycling too.
every end - beginning of a month my symptoms get worse for a few days.. but after that it seems to be a little bit better than before.
i have read many times thar borrelia have a cycle of 28-30 days where they are very sensitive to antibiotics and the human immunsystem.

I didn't notice a cycle on Doxy, but since I've been on Amoxyl, I have noticed a cycle about every 30 days.
And my symptoms seem to be worsening with every cycle, so I don't know what thst means.

Yes there is a cycle and mine has been for 10 yrs. Being on abx, without abx, rifing, it doesn't matter it happens.
I also like to rife during this period in hopes that the frequencies interfer with their reproduction.

Oh yes, in a BIG way..I just got through one. It does seem that when it comes on during abx tx that afterwards I feel much better then I did prior to the cycle beginning.
There most certainly seems to be a pattern - for me anyway. TG

From the Burrascano Guidelines, p. 16:
It has been observed that symptoms will flare in cycles every four weeks. It is thought that this reflects the organism's cell cycle, with the growth phase occurring once per month (intermittent growth is common in Borrelia species). As antibiotics will only kill bacteria during their growth phase, therapy is designed to bracket at least one whole generation cycle. This is why the minimum treatment duration should be at least four weeks.
If the antibiotics are working, over time these flares will lessen in severity and duration. The very occurrence of ongoing monthly cycles indicates that living organisms are still present and that antibiotics should be continued.

The full moon is a good point. The last one was two days ago. Have read before of full moon effecting lyme activity/symptoms.

I always felt worse during a full moon. There's a documented reason, but I can't remember it... just know it is the same for many.

Funny, I dont have the 30 day cycle. Its very variable, 10 days, then 5 months, then 5 weeks etc...
But I seem to be the exception to all the rules.
You know, one of the LLMDs that has treated thousands of patients refers to us as "Moonies". So apparently, he has seen the full moon flare in a lot of people...

I do... but since I have started a new protocol with plaquenil, it has not been as severe. I did go through 2 really bad weeks when I started the plaquenil though

Which infection causes more frequent, or weekly herxes (ex. 7 bad days, 7 good days, 7 bad days, etc)?
I've heard that babesia cycles every 4-5 days and bartonella every 7-10, but does anyone have information on that, or know for sure? I did a search and couldn't find anything. Thanks!
