I had previous correspondence with Dr. Nick S. Harris, President/CEO of IGeneX, so using this I asked the following via email:

Subject: F.A.O Dr. Nick S. Harris - XMRV Testing?

Dear Dr Harris,

Just wondering if IGeneX are considering XMRV testing in both humans and ticks?

I have recently posted on lymenet about the connection between XMRV - mice - lyme.

Topic: The cause of Lyme fatigue found!? Can Ticks carry the XMRV virus? Mice the vector?

Your thoughts on this mice vector and testing for XMRV would be most welcome.

If you wish I would be most willing to pass on an IGeneX statement on this via Lymenet.org.

Many regards
Peter

Since, as you have written, the association of mice and ticks and Lyme and XMRV, we are looking into developing some assays for the virus. We will see how this works out in our studies on ticks and some Lyme positive serum and blood.
