I am in the midst of a major neuro relapse triggered by ???. It feels like an inflammatory episode which has gotten worse and worse over the last month. I feel pretty good during the daytime, but as soon as it starts to get dark, my symptoms get really aggravated. anyone else have this or know why?

I am the exact same way however I do not know why it gets worse at night. I have asked my LLMD and he does not know for sure why this happens.

I experience this also - can't even think about driving during that time!
I have no idea why it happens, I just chalk it up to another annoying part of lyme and look forward to it going away.

me three. wonder if it has something to do with the sun or something? or the fact that we're more active.

I was wondering if it had to do with sundowners syndrome. Fevers generally go up at that time of day too.

Just a thought or I should say other similar cases.
In dementia...increase of agitation, neurological maladies (twitching as in Parkinson's) later in th day it is called "sun-downing".
My father's doctors (he has dementia due to a stroke)& my sister who is a Theraputic Rec. Director in a aged facility described it that way.
Can it be similar since we know the spirochetes are in the brain?

Your body releases melatonin as the sun sets.
It's a natural process. But in someone who is sick it can cause hormonal imbalances.
Which in turn cause neuro symptoms.

Ever wonder how or where those mushrooms always seem to pop up overnite?

Perhaps its because we have used up our reserve of energy by then and cant fight off the symptoms as well.
I feel like a gas tank. I have only so much energy and when i run out its over period. I cannot do anything else and if i try i only feel worse.

Does anyone know if this will get better with treatment?

It's supposed to. I was symptom free for a period of time and now am back in the throws of it. But I feel hopeful that I will get back there.

I start getting more symptomatic around 3pm and it's downhill from there. I get that fatigue where my face falls. That's what I call fatigue that is that bad that you can just see there unwell, fatigued It just looks fallen.
