This suggests why yeast is such a huge problem -- although the study is NOT of candida. Anyway, interesting FYI

Pathogen Protection And Virulence: Dark Side Of Fungal Membrane Protein Revealed

ScienceDaily (Nov. 8, 2009) --

Researchers at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute (VBI) at Virginia Tech and Montana State University have discovered a fungal protein that plays a key role in causing disease in plants and animals and which also shields the pathogen from oxidative stress.

The researchers have found that the fungal protein TmpL is critical for the infection of host tissue and helps these pathogens regulate oxidative stress responses that are caused by the presence of destructive reactive oxygen species, a natural feature of the adaptive response to infection.

"In this study, we provide the first evidence that a certain type of disease-related protein from both a plant and animal fungal pathogen is critical for protecting the pathogen and for causing infection of healthy host tissue.

As such, this protein represents a good starting point as a potential target for the development of efficient and novel therapeutics for both plant and animal fungal diseases."

Caprylic acid is anti-fungal.

It is in VCO which is used to treat yeast infections too.

Caprylic acid is converted in the liver to a ketone ...a very specific ketone that inhibits ACC2 and shuts off fatty acid synthesis.

"Very Long-Chain Fatty Acids in Yeast"

VCO, in contrast, contains saturated (hydrogen loaded) medium chain fatty acids.

My daughter started a strong anti-fungal a few months ago. Boy does she herx! she takes ketokonazole (SP?). She can only take it once or twice a week. She tried three days in a row, and she was laid out.

Instead of pouring millions into GM Seeds maybe we should have just doused the seeds with meds.
